The Fear Factor: Self Control Can Defeat Armies
The movie derives in part from a Classic 1953 movie called “Shane” where a mysterious stranger arrives from out of town, attempts to limit violence, refuses to work for the other side, and ultimately wins a climactic fight freeing the townspeople. Are there hidden messages inside of movies? Are movies created on the perceptions of everyday realities mixed with a creative blend of sensationalized fiction? All
writers incorporate philosophy and trend into scripts, they also rely on
concepts that are relative to every person and add a twist of fantasy to make
the script sell.

Here are two of the more meaningful quotes in Roadhouse. In cleaning up the bar, the character named In light of this action, the owner states, “well at least nobody
died tonight”, and In reference to fearing reprimand from the town authority, Dalton replies, “people who are looking for trouble are no trouble for the people expecting them to cause trouble”. Here is the secret. This is true knowledge. This is a fact you need to know. Read carefully and know how to defeat a group of intimidators for good. You have one control over intimidators, your own self control. Never show fear. How does that old biblical adage go, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil”. Fear is what keeps them in control; not your acceptance of their actions, but your acceptance of their intimidation. Intimidation is based on fear. Fear is a food for intimidators. Never feed intimidators. They will continually take fear as a food from you and never return the gesture. Keep strong and know that intimidation relies on the acceptance of fear. Without the acceptance of fear, they become afraid of why you have no fear of them. You can look at this as a pessimistic optimist and say “well, the operation was a success, but unfortunately the patient died”. You can also look at this as a matter of principle, “well, I may lose the battle, but I will always win the war”. Do not use this as a means to go out and fight people causing injustice, just go about living your lives and enjoy your lives. Live it without fear. You can show equal courage by saying nothing whatsoever and showing an intimidator no fear when they confront you. Courage is an action that shows no fear. Let the intimidators realize that they are the bad people; they are the aggressors approaching you on a street or the people pulling you over in your car. To pull a knife or a gun, or to throw a swing, they need the mindset to fulfill the action; and emotion steers the action, so do not fuel their emotion by showing fear. Intimidators will use your emotion to their advantage if you show them either fear or attitude. Show them neither. No fear and no attitude. Nothing! Just know in your heart it is them who approaches you and not the other way around. Feel strong knowing that you are the good person and they are the bad people. The
way to beat intimidators is to not allow them any justification. Let them
wrestle with their own conscience over their actions. Bad people need to justify their actions and you can to take away their justification. If you don't show fear or attitude they can't justify their actions against you. They will lose the adrenaline rush and you will go on as they become challenged by a new battle against their own conscience.
The dissention amongst the group will grow and their actions will inevitably be met by their own supporters changing their view and seeing the intimidator ousted. The ultimate weapon against an intimidator is their own conscience. Never give an intimidator the peace of mind of justifying their own actions. Never feed intimidators. Never show fear to anyone! You win. © www.cablenations.com 2009 |
